KitchenAid® Limited Edition, Individually Numbered Mixer Introduced
In case you missed the hottest story this week in the mixing world, KitchenAid® introduced a Limited Edition Black Tie Stand Mixer.
This Black Tie mixer model represents a new program where each year a new limited edition will be made available. Once they are gone they will never be made again. Kind of like the American Girl doll annual limited editions [albeit a bit more expensive].
Only 500 of these will ever be made, and at $999.99 they are priced $600 over what an Empire Red Artisan® will run you today on Amazon. The capacity and all technical specifications mirror the standard Artisan® model.
This Limited Edition Black Tie Artisan® stand mixer is sure to become a collector’s edition. In fact, you may even be afraid to use it given how rare it will be and what you paid for it. It carries ALL BLACK finishes, and is made from high end materials such as satin and black chrome and die cast zinc.
The bowl is black stainless steel, the accessories are all black [and of course dishwasher safe], and all cast iron components have a matte black finish.
Truly a beautiful, distinctive, and one of a kind mixer that will instantly be a conversation piece in your kitchen. The question is – will people pay $999.99 (likely) for the KitchenAid® Limited Edition Black Tie Stand Mixer, and will it become a collectible over the years and increase in value (to be seen).
